Banning family gatherings will help break the chain of transmission of COVID-19.

Health experts try to find ways to reduce the spread of COVID-19. They try to figure out which route of transmission of the virus is the fastest and most common. Despite the authorities restricting various mass events, COVID-19 continues to spread at a rapid pace. After conducting some sociological research, experts have found that family meetings, private parties, joint movie watching with neighbors or friends at home lead to a worsening of the situation with COVID-19 in the country.

Even though these are small groups of people, in general throughout the country, such meetings increase the number of cases of COVID-19.

Experts have named many reasons why family gatherings can worsen your health.
As a rule, meetings with close relatives or friends take place in a relaxed atmosphere, and people forget about precautions. You take off your masks, hug friends when you meet them, don’t wash your hands after every handshake or touch, don’t keep your distance, and so on. You are used to behaving this way, so you do it all automatically without thinking about the danger. On the contrary, these people make you feel safe, and you forget about stress and the pandemic.

Also, some of your friends or relatives may be asymptomatic carriers of the virus, and you are not aware of the danger.

Your friends and relatives communicate in other social circles about which you know nothing. You do not know if they adhere to the necessary precautions, if they follow the rules of washing hands, wearing masks. Unfortunately, most people wear masks in public for fear of fines. But they take off their masks when they come to the office, to a meeting, and so on.

Experts urge you to pay attention to small details that can save you from infection. Even if you miss your friends, wait for a little and do not expose yourself and them to danger.

Unfortunately, limiting social contact is the hardest challenge for all people during a pandemic. Nevertheless, experts insist on reducing social contacts and communicating with loved ones using Skype or Zoom.

It is worth noting, though, that some experts believe that home meetings are less of a problem than large public events. Of course, large gatherings with hundreds of people are a viral bomb and should be limited first. But this does not mean that home meetings are safe. Every citizen must take responsibility and break the chain of transmission of the virus.

Statistics show that COVID-19 patients had at least 5-10 contacts outside the family. This precaution may not save you, but it will reduce your risk of illness.

Most state authorities impose restrictions and bans on home meetings in private homes, which has caused outrage in the community, especially on the eve of the holidays. But, this is a forced measure aimed at improving the epidemiological situation in the country.

Even though experts cannot name how to remove the source of infection once and for all, the authorities use every opportunity to reduce the number of cases. Even if restrictions on home meetings reduce the incidence rate by 1%, it is already good for national health.

So try to stay at home with members of your family, don’t go outside unnecessarily, and leave social contacts for a safe time.
